Suffering from decades of kidnapping, rape, torture, mutilation, murder and mass murder; brutalized by drug cartels and their government enablers, Mexico’s disarmed rural populations have taken up arms in their own defense – illegally – and formed citizen militias. These autodefensas are locked in battle with vicious drug cartels, corrupt local police, the Mexican military and the recently formed faux citizens’ police force called Fuerza Rural.
I’m reading about the slaughter of 132 school children in Pakistan today. A teacher is believed to have been burned alive while her pupils were forced to watch. I read the account with horror. I was horrified at what took place…. but not surprised.
The attack was carried out by nine Taliban terrorists.
I then read about the families of nine people killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre suing the maker of the AR-15 used in the attack.
Their lawsuit states that the weapon should not have been sold because it had no reasonable civilian purpose.
The Sandy Hook tragedy spawned an aggressive anti-gun campaign with images of some mothers demanding “gun-free” schools, while others were horrified at drills held on school premises to train teachers and students how to respond to violent threats.
The mothers were horrified because the guns used in the drills might scare their children.
We are sitting on the brink of our own Peshawar here in the United States. We have 1,000’s of lone wolves, known wolves and organized Islamic terrorist groups operating in the United States.
All of whom are looking to make a grand statement in support of Allah and punch their ticket to paradise.
Our schools, filled with our precious children, are unarmed and indefensible. Schools that are looked upon as high-value targets by these extremists. Perfect targets for the homegrown American jihadist.
And about half of this country still believe that slapping “gun-free zone” stickers on the doors and windows of their schools is the way to deal with this threat… whether it comes from a lone shooter, a lone wolf or an organized terrorist group.
So what is the solution? Police? No. They won’t be there when the attack happens. Armed guards? Maybe. Except most school systems will not be able to afford enough guards with suitable training to counter an attack.
The solution is simple. Train and then arm the teachers and administrators. Every school should have a security force, composed of teachers and administrators, who are highly trained and capable of thwarting an attack. They’re on the front line. They will be there when the attack starts. And with proper training they will be able to eliminate the threat and minimize any damage.
AT LEAST THEY STILL HAVE THEIR ART MUSEUM: Dozens Of Suspected Killers, Rapists Released In Detroit Due To Warrant Backlog « CBS Detroit
A published report says dozens of suspected killers, rapists and others who were arrested by Detroit police over the past four years have been released because of a backlog of unsigned warrants.
At least 126 people, most of them children, were killed on Tuesday when Taliban gunmen stormed a school in the Pakistani city of Peshawar, taking hundreds of students hostage in the bloodiest insurgent attack in the country in years.
Its members have been dubbed the “pinstriped Nazis” and they refer to their demonstrations as “evening strolls” through German cities. But on Monday night, an estimated 15,000 people joined Pegida, or Patriotic Europeans Against Islamisation of the West, in a march through Dresden carrying banners bearing slogans such as “Zero tolerance towards criminal asylum seekers”, “Protect our homeland” and “Stop the Islamisation”.

Making Whitey Suffer: The kind of rhetoric that justifies destroying, invading, and looting the property of others…
That is the kind of rhetoric that justifies destroying, invading, and looting the property of others who had nothing whatsoever to do with the cases at hand. But the perpetrators are not in search of answers or even justice. They seek vengeance.
But the military isn’t the only mainstream institution that the gangsters — more specifically, the gangs’ leaders — compare themselves to. “We’re looking to market, sell and profit off drugs the way any business would handle their product,” the Crips’ second-in-command tells Deutsch. “Only our product is illegal so more precautions have to be taken. It’s all systematic and planned, all the positions and responsibilities and assignments. All of that’s part of our business strategy.”
Many in the crowd participated in what was touted as a group act of noncompliance, passing their guns to one another. No one was arrested as a result, and Washington State Patrol trooper Guy Gill said the agency was not treating the acts as a crime.
With thousands expected at the next march, Merkel is in a dilemma. Her security officials are warning of an increase in hate crimes, while opinion polls show support for the marchers’ calls for a tougher German immigration policy.
“There is a visible rise in xenophobic crime countrywide,” police chief Holger Muench told Welt am Sonntag, which like most German Sunday newspapers focused on Monday’s march by a group calling itself PEGIDA – an acronym for “Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West”.
As the diplomatic chill over Ukraine deepens, the Kremlin seems keener than ever to enlist Europes far-right parties in its campaign for influence in the West, seeking new relationships based largely on shared concern over the growing clout of the EU.
The mothers of four slain black men and boys, three of whom were killed by police sat down with CNN’s Anderson Cooper for a heart-wrenching interview where they made one thing absolutely clear: their sons would be alive if they were white.
The Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association distributed a flier to members, blaring: “DON’T LET THEM INSULT YOUR SACRIFICE!” Cops were encouraged to sign and submit the “Don’t Insult My Sacrifice” waiver to ban the cop-bashing pols from their funerals.
I Was There When an Undercover Cop Pulled a Gun on Unarmed Protesters in Oakland. Here’s How It Happened. | Mother Jones
Suddenly, behind me, someone started to yell. A protester had discovered the undercover cops and shouted an alarm. Others began to join in, calling them pigs and telling them to go home. The two men passed me in silence, at a hurried pace. Suddenly, a scuffle erupted as one protester attempted to pull off one of the officer’s hoods. The officer tackled someone involved, and was quickly surrounded by a small crowd and kicked from several directions while on the ground. (That officer, who was African American, is who you see in the ground in the photo above.) The other officer stepped in front of his partner and brandished a baton. When the crowd did not back up he drew his gun, pointing at protesters and photographers. Moments later, police flooded the area, scattering marchers and blocking others, as the undercover officers arrested the man who had been tackled in the skirmish.
The NRA was founded shortly after the Civil War by Union veterans who felt the Confederacy only lasted as long as it did because of the Southerners’ superior marksmanship. For nearly a century, the NRA catered to competitive shooters and merely dabbled in politics. As with so many other American cultural issues, things changed in the 1960s. Crime soared. Armed members of the Black Panthers began following police officers around American cities. Riots broke out in Newark and Detroit, and some government officials blamed easy access to guns. Assassins killed two Kennedy brothers and Martin Luther King Jr. In 1968, under pressure from terrified constituents, Congress passed the first major gun control legislation since the 1930s. A backlash ensued, as American firearms enthusiasts feared the government planned to take their guns. They pushed the relatively apolitical NRA to lobby on their behalf. When the leadership balked in 1977, a group of activists staged a coup. The new leaders commissioned a poll, which found that lobbying was the members’ biggest priority. They turned the group into a political force, with the Second Amendment as their bible.
“We do not send our children to school to learn how to hide from gunmen, nor should we expect sharpshooting to be a job requirement for educators. You may not have heard about all of these shooting incidents on the national news, but when a lockdown is announced over a school intercom, for whatever reason, it strikes fear across the community. … It’s time for our elected leaders to take a stand for the safety and future of our children.” – Shannon Watts in Report: School shootings often involve guns from home
On Dec 13th we gather for the largest Felony civil disobedience rally in American history. Thousands are coming to stand at the capital in Olympia. This is not simply a protest. We will openly exchange, buy and sell and trade guns and start a plan to break apart this legislation and violate i594 in every possible way. Because ALL law that violates the Constitution is not law, it is VOID!
We the people will not tolerate this law. We will not bow down and lick the boots of tyrants, we will stand for the liberty of our children? We’re not waiting for politicians, judges or lawyers. Our birthright is NOT to be touched. We gather and we will affirm that liberty.
We call on our Sheriffs, local representatives and legislators to stand with us and uphold their oaths. The Constitution is the supreme law and our God given rights are NOT open for negotiation. We choose to uphold the law as peacefully and principled as possible, but it will be upheld. We will buy and sell guns from whom we please, we will not submit to background checks, we will not give up our rights, WE WILL NOT Comply.
This is huge. Washington State’s new anti-gun law will be openly violated by thousands of citizens at the State Capitol in Olympia. The lineup of speakers indicates a fever pitch participation by national voices, including Sheriff Mack, Ammon Bundy and Mike Vanderboegh. The event organizer states the following:
“We will rally at the capital, openly exchange guns, unveil and plan to break apart the legislation and violate i594 in every possible way. Because ALL law that violates the Constitution is not law, it is VOID!”
Check out this exciting announcement as sent to me by Oath Keepers Board of Directors member and North Oregon coordinator Jeff Ford.
For instance, in 2009 91 percent of the respondents agreed that “Overall my quality of life is good or excellent.” Today only 56 percent agree, and 70 percent think the quality of life will decline in coming years. This a stunning drop, and the negative assessment extends across myriad measures: pay and benefits, quality of health care, and the caliber of officers overall. Perhaps most dramatically, only 27 percent of respondents today agree with the statement “the senior military leadership has my best interests at heart.
