Don’t be fooled, it’s not just cops that are skeptical and pushing back against the gun centralizers – I know of no serous gunman (in the Jeffersonian sense) that wants to risk their lives and the lives of other innocents on unproven technology.
While I do support rock solid (RF/EM shielded, untrackable, unhackable, unbreakable, transferable, sharable, and 100% reliable) technology that can be used to prevent an unauthorized persons from using my firearm without my permission, adopting such technologies should be a personal choice, not one to be forced upon people.
Here is an idea: Let’s make the Secret Service (sorry to my friends in that department, but you get where I am going with this…) the guinea pigs for this, and see how the bureaucrats like putting their lives on the line instead of the people they are purporting to serve with such policies.
Among the biggest skeptics are cops worried about testing an unproven technology on the streets.“Police officers in general, federal officers in particular, shouldn’t be asked to be the guinea pigs in evaluating a firearm that nobody’s even seen yet,” said James Pasco, executive director of the Fraternal Order of Police. “We have some very, very serious questions.”
